This mat was repurposed  from
the piece of a border of
an (c1875-1900) Antique-Bidjar rug. T
he outside perimeter
is machine bound .  The pile is very thick.  The rug is pure wool on a cotton foundation made with pure organic dyes.
Animals  are drawn to the natural fiber a wool rug has to offer.
*Anti-static-so kitties naturally gravitate and likes to sleep on it.
